In religious education (RE) children learn about the main religions in Great Britain, particularly Christianity. Christainity is studied in all year groups. In their time at Westbury House School, as well as studying Christianity, children will also study Judaism, Islam, Hinduism and Sikhism.
Westbury House School is interested in developing children’s skills and attitudes which will support them in their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.
We are concerned with developing children’s capacity to respond thoughtfully to what they have learned about religion and to evaluate it.
To be able to understand their own beliefs and values, children need to learn about and respond to the beliefs and values of others.
