We are a small school absolutely jam packed with ideas, initiative, intelligence and integrity. This is a school of high challenge and high expectation, supported by a team of dedicated staff whose shared belief is that our children can succeed with our help. The pastoral care is evident from the minute you walk through the door.

Our academic record speaks for itself. Over the last 5 years, our children have achieved 76 11+ passes to Kingston and Sutton Grammar Schools. All our children go on to their school of choice in the state or independent sector.

This week at Westbury House Picture 1- Miss Connor organised a film-making workshop. All KS2 were all involved in making a film all about road safety week. Picture 2- Pizza Express Time!!!! Year’s 3 and 4 went to Pizza Express, which was nicely linked in with our Science and PSHE topics. The children made the queen of pizza (Margherita) and learned all the ingredients needed to make the pizza. Picture 3 and 4- Our Forest School session this week includes making a giant leaf pile, whittling sticks, man-made seesaw and creating fire to allow us all to have hot chocolate and mashmallows. Thank you to Mr McAuley and Mrs Kowalewska for the delicious treats. Picture 5 and 6- Year 1 Maths in Motion! During today’s Maths lesson, the children practiced addition and subtraction through an engaging game about passengers getting on and off the bus. They worked out how many passengers were on board at different points of the journey, exploring a variety of scenarios. Picture 7- Year 2 Inspired by the beautiful autumn colours, we have used pastels to create stunning leaf outlines! Meet Mrs Susanna Santos, Reception Teacher at Westbury House School. Mrs Santos has over 20 years of Early Years teaching experience and has worked at The Study School for the last 7 years. She is passionate about working with the youngest learners and helping each child progressing in all areas of learning and ensuring that they have the best start to their school career. Meet Mr Connor Craig, Year 1 Teacher and IT Lead at Westbury House School. Mr Craig moved over from a career in accountancy during lockdown, where he tutored in Maths and English. He went on to study his PGCE, and also completed placements at various schools. He has been working at The Study School for two years as a Year 3 Teacher and is excited to be joining the Westbury House team. Mr Craig loves Maths and English, along with ICT and sports.
