We are delighted to share a double edition of our Forest School highlights, celebrating the fantastic learning that has taken place over the past two weeks.

During Forest School last week, KS2 pupils enthusiastically took part in Science Week activities. Despite the wet weather, the children were fully engaged, exploring exciting experiments outdoors. They investigated chemical reactions by mixing ingredients to inflate balloons and explored how polymers stretch using simple materials such as pencils and plastic bags. The sessions encouraged curiosity, teamwork and hands-on learning, with pupils showing great enthusiasm and enjoyment throughout.

This week, KS1 children enjoyed a lovely walk to the woodland, taking time to explore and appreciate nature along the way. Inspired by their recent trip to the London Wetland Centre, they worked together to build their own bug hotel using natural materials. The children also had great fun taking part in activities such as the “stick throwing” game by the stream and safely using tools to create and play.

Across both weeks, Forest School has continued to provide wonderful opportunities to build confidence, encourage teamwork and foster a love of outdoor learning.
